Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Halaqa Pro ("we", "us") helps study circle (halaqa) leaders organize modules, assignments, and members. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). If you choose to upload a profile picture, we store that too. Beyond your account, we store the content you and your halaqa create in the app - halaqas, modules, assignments, submissions, and shared assets.
How we use it
We use your information solely to operate the app: authenticating you, showing you the halaqas you belong to, and emailing you when needed (verifying your address, invites, password resets). We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell or rent it to third parties, and we do not track you across other websites or apps.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Service providers
We use Amazon Web Services (S3 for file storage, SES for sending email) to run the app. These providers process your data only as needed to store your files or deliver your emails - not for their own purposes.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
Halaqa Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above.
